Neil McSherry

Managing Director and Lead Underwriter

• Neil is a London Market trained specialist liability underwriter of over 25 years’ experience, based in Ireland for the last 16 years. He is an experienced Insurance company Underwriting and distribution manager.

• Neil has filled senior positions within A-rated International Insurers, where the culture of compliance, process and procedure is strong.

• Within these roles Neil has gained extensive senior level experience in portfolio management, business planning, budgeting and control, team creation, marketing and distribution, administration and stakeholder management.

Neil is lead case-underwriter. Insurer partners and broker clients alike will benefit from this exceptional level of experience being applied to risk selection and pricing, and the creation of innovative deals to help our cover propositions stand out from the pack.

Pat Colgan

Deputy Liability Manager, Senior Underwriter 

Pat is one of the most experienced commercial underwriters in the Irish market, with expertise across property and liability. He is a natural analyst who enjoys working with Actuaries in the creation of data informed development plans. He is a Lead Underwriter on Liability and the principal Technical Referral point on complex New Business and Renewal proposals for our broker panel.

Conor Walsh

F.C.A, Chairman, Investor and Non-Executive Director

• Conor has a broad range of experience gained over 38 Years, working with Global organisations including Midland Bank, Diageo, Citibank, ABN AMRO and in the Irish market with Allied Irish Bank and Bank of Ireland.  Conor provides expertise in the areas of corporate governance and compliance. Conor has also worked in start-ups, with Fintech Company CR2 and as a founder and Managing Director of Key Capital Private, a joint venture with Deutsche Bank. Conor currently runs his own consulting firm Montpelier Capital.

• Conor Qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1983 and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland, a Member of the Institute of Directors and a Non-Executive Director for Regulated Investment Funds based in Dublin and Cayman.

Rob Purser

Certified Insurance Practioner, Head of Commercial: Property/Combined 

• Rob is a  professional Underwriter with experience across a number of sectors of Irish Industry. Robert offers 19 years of Irish market experience, the last 11 of which have been spent as the Senior Property Underwriter at Liberty Mutual Group Companies, most recently Liberty Insurance Ireland. Previously QBE (7 years). A solution seeker, Rob is interested in helping brokers with standard and non standard risk, including challenging occupations and construction types. Excess of Loss and co-insurance options can also be provided.

Sean Leonard

David Gibson

Certified Insurance Practioner, Commercial Combined Manager

• David has 20 years Industry experience spanning mid-market and corporate new business & renewal underwriting, broker development, team lead and broking positions. David has worked for medium and large international brokerage houses and underwritten for large commercial insurers. David is responsible for the underwriting management and servicing of property-led, commercial combined accounts: a new product line (introduced in November 2021). Providing brokers with a convenient, one-stop shop for their client’s commercial property and liability needs. David is responsible for evaluating, establishing, and negotiating appetite and pricing levels for risks, and works closely with our Insurer partners and brokers alike in the development of this exciting new portfolio.

Michael Leahy

Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute. Chartered Insurer. Head of Claims (Part-Time)

• Michael is a claims professional with exeptional experience spanning more than 25 years experience across a number of insurance classes. His areas of expertise include Liability, Property, Motor, Professional Indemnity and Directors and Officers Liability. Michael has served as Board member of Motor Insurers Bureau and as a Member of the Claims Committee for Insurance Ireland. He has operated at Director level for AIG, and is pre-approved for the highest level of claims function by the Central Bank of Ireland
